Yesterday would have marked the end of the Exweek between and Madrid. We were working hard to prepare an event full of interesting activities and fun, and though finally it could not happen, we still want to thank, as well as present, who was going to be the sponsor for the whole event. We were really excited about all the activities that were going to be possible thanks to this sponsorship, so we could not miss the opportunity to show how grateful we are.

We wanted to wish happy 63rd birthday to IAAS from our respective houses, where we all should be. Hopefully we will be celebrating it properly all together soon enough. Until then, take care and

From the 12th to the 19th of January we had the honor to participate as guest country in the Directors Meeting of America 2020 in Paraguay, along with the committees of IAAS MEXICO, IAAS Ecuador, IAAS Panama,IAAS Guatemala, IAAS United States, IAAS Portugal - Associação Internacional de Estudantes de Agricultura and IAAS PERU.

During the event we visited a variety of companies dedicated to the agricultural and livestock sector, such as El Desafio, rice productor; Trociuk Industrial Plant, juice productor; Estancia Golondrina, which develops agricultural, forestry and conservation activities; Lauro Raatz S.A, mate grower, and the second biggest dam in the world, Itaipú Binacional, managed equally between Paraguay and Brasil.

This DMA could not be missing the traditional Trade Fair, where we could get to know and try the culture and gastronomy of all the countries attending to the event. The Development Fund also took place, presented by a member of our committee, so money could be raised to help IAAS members with economic difficulties.

Activity reports from every country where presented during the GA’s, which led us to keep improving from IAAS Spain, and to implement new activities locally and internationally. In addition to that, we got the opportunity to propose and discuss new ideas in the different projects that are being carried out internationally inside IAAS.

We are forever grateful to IAAS Paraguay for giving us the opportunity to be part of this , and for showing us the culture of South America’s heart, both inside and outside the agronomic industry. We also want to thank each and every single one of the participants of the event for making of this trip one of the most memorable events we have been able to attend. The friendships and contacts that were created in Paraguay will be everlasting.

Our Motivation Weekend is over! After these three days together in Cuenca (halfway between Valencia and Madrid) both committees have found new strength to keep on going for the rest of the year. The new members are really motivated and they can not wait until their first international event.
IAAS Valencia-Madrid collabs are coming and those are going to be huge, don’t miss them up! 😉

IAAS Spain is working in the opening of a new committee in Valencia. We organized a talk for the students there. Here you can see some photos. We hope that IAAS Valencia will become a reality soon.

We are glad to announce that IAAS Spain has started to collaborate with IBM España. We didn't say anything because we thought it would be a nice surprise for the participants of the EDM, who visited their building here in Madrid.

From IAAS Spain we thank the confidence, this is a great impulse for the us.

It is never so late, we must say thank you to IAAS Germany for the excellent week that our members had in Bonn.

The EDM is about to start and from IAAS Spain we think that is a great moment to express our gratitude for the support given by our sponsors.
