In 2022, filmmaker Kane Parsons brought the world of the backrooms to life in a YouTube series that has garnered 84 million views to date, leading to a cinematic adaptation produced by A24 and making Parsons one of the youngest filmmakers to top the box office.

Shot on the Sony VENICE 2 and the RIALTO 2 by DP Jeremy Cox, the film explored the hyper subjective perspective of Parsons’ original digital series in a cinematic landscape.
