📡 Multi-Band Doublet Antenna — One Wire for All HF Bands:

A Multi-Band Doublet Antenna is a center-fed dipole cut for the lowest band and fed using balanced ladder line into an antenna tuner. It does not need to be resonant on every band — the tuner matches it efficiently, making it one of the best multi-band HF antennas.

This antenna is low-cost, simple to build, highly efficient, and trusted by serious DX operators worldwide.

📏 Recommended Doublet Lengths (Total Wire Length → Each Side Length)

*160m band (1.8 MHz): Total 260 ft → 130 ft per side.

*80m band (3.5 MHz): Total 133 ft → 66.5 ft per side.

*60m band (5 MHz): Total 93 ft → 46.5 ft per side.

*40m band (7 MHz): Total 67 ft → 33.5 ft per side.

*30m band (10 MHz): Total 47 ft → 23.5 ft per side.

*20m band (14 MHz): Total 33 ft → 16.5 ft per side.

📌 Longer antennas tune more easily on multiple bands.

🧵 Feedline Recommendation ✔️ 450Ω Ladder Line (Best choice)

✔️ 600Ω Open Wire Line

❌ Avoid coax — high SWR causes RF loss and heat

🎛 Matching Equipment Required ✔️ Balanced Antenna Tuner:

✔️ OR 1:1 Current Balun + Unbalanced Tuner
❌ Avoid 4:1 balun — causes inefficiency and heat buildup.
