German born Jamaican raised Melanie, not new on the scene; started recording blank cassette mixtapes in her bedroom at 8 years old, continuing through teenage years making mixes then digitally upon receiving her first computer. She respected her love and passion for the music went to pursue it with strong determination. Melanie enrolled to master the art of music and hone her skills at the London
Academy of Music Production. After Melanie got signed to her first agent in 2014 and started her career with her official debut at Miami Music Week in 2015 alongside strong lineups. Shortly after Melanie secured the opening of Amnesia Ibiza which resulted in a two year residency at Amnesia and Cova Santa Ibiza. Making a name on the island and playing amongst the heavy weights of the industry during the seasons. Melanie was distinguished by her unique sound that got the crowds moving, touring worldwide and playing some of the biggest clubs and festivals in the world such as Fabrik Madrid, We are Festival and Lollapalooza. Melanie’s first EP was released on the industry’s acclaimed Moon Harbour that was played by Matthias Tanzmann in Circoloco at DC10 and managed to climb the top 100 charts of Beatport. Following more releases on successful labels such as Saved, Viva Limited, Mindshake, Roush & re-publishing on Toolroom compilations with support from the most respected names of the industry and collaborations with Paco Osuna and Reboot. In 2018 Ribbe secured a residency in Brazil’s hottest new establishment ‘Ame Club’. Melanie also since opened her own music label Agápe Muzik and Agápe showcases alongside a video streaming series in unusual locations called “Melanie Ribbe x Drop” on YouTube. Melanie currently also hosts a monthly residency on french originated international radio “Uncoded Radio” while having frequent appearances on radio stations like Ibiza Global Radio, Ibiza Sonica, Pure Ibiza, and has curated previous guest mixes for British Airways, Kaluki, Moon Harbour and Toolroom.
