Nature has played a critical role in our mental health during the pandemic. Going for walks outside or being in green areas has been a top coping strategy for many of us.

The way we interact with nature and the relationship we have with it, adds to the positive effects it has on our wellbeing. Having a strong connection with nature is about feeling close or being emotionally attached to the wider natural world. It is proven that nature connectedness is associated with lower levels of depression and anxiety!

We can improve our connectedness with nature by:

➡ Smelling flowers
➡ Feeling the soil between our fingers while planting
➡ Watching wildlife at play

Every day is a good day to be kind to Mother Earth, but today is a particularly special day to show your admiration. We can no longer ignore the signs our Earth sends us: it is our duty to preserve, protect and love it.

What will you do to honor Mother Nature today? What will you do today that you can turn into a daily habit?

Give yourself a challenge: promise yourself to always use a reusable shopping bag, bring your water bottle with you whenever you leave the house, turn that light off when you are not in the room.

Can you imagine the difference it would make if everyone adopted these small practices??
