The artist nourishes exclusively of the market that this cultural transformation has arisen. Pattern Chineso 中国样式 reveals a collection that reconstructs the world of falsification that floods markets competing shamelessly with original brands; offering low quality products with its own identity. The garments in Pattern Chineso are the resulting products of a hand produced collection that aim to simulate the thorough and hard-work methods of systematic reproduction of the Asian giant. The geometrical patterns constantly repeated in the garments, designed by Arroyo, try to replicate the perfection of a digital image, obviating however inaccuracy of his own stroke. Arroyo gives life to a project that emphasizes the beauty the fake and extracts the authenticity of what lies behind the forgeries, as a category of contemporary consumption. Macarena GL
