The race was heavily influenced by the weather conditions.
He managed to finish the race, completing the required laps in the middle of the standings. The late arrival of heavy rain caused notable accidents and chaos at the legendary Rascasse corner.

🔸 In a race defined by both survival and speed, the Garage 59 #58 McLaren 720S GT3 EVO secured a well-deserved podium finish in the Gold Cup at Monza.

The #58 McLaren survived three brutal hours at the Temple of Speed to claim a hard-fought podium in one of the toughest GT World Challenge Europe races of the season so far.

Benji Goethe, Louis Prette, and Tom Fleming remained calm throughout a race plagued by incidents, interruptions, and heavy crashes, bringing the car home to second place in its class after a composed and determined drive.

It was a brutal race at Monza, but the podium finish for the #58 team was a well-deserved reward.

They didn’t make any mistakes. The strategy didn’t work perfectly, but they kept their track clear, stayed in contention, and in the end, it paid off.

Congratulations, guys!

🔸 Why did Porsche hire a rally driver for a circuit race? 🤯

The 1970 Targa Florio was no ordinary race. 🏎️💨 It was 71 km of mountain roads, full of potholes, with no run-off areas and constant danger. That’s why John Wyer did something crazy: he put the King of the Monte Carlo Rally, Björn Waldegård, in a prototype, the ultralight Gulf-Porsche 908/03.

The result? A historic 5th place, improvising on the Sicilian tarmac.

💬 Do you think rally drivers are the most well-rounded in the world? Let me know in the comments.👇
