The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille opened today in the Bay of Palma for its 30th anniversary edition — Europe's longest-running superyacht regatta and one of the Mediterranean sailing season's most anticipated gatherings. Racing runs from 24 to 27 June, with 24 confirmed entries making this one of the largest fleets the event has seen in almost two decades.

This year's fleet spans five divisions: Superyacht, J Class, Café Racer, Corinthian, and for the first time in the regatta's history, a dedicated Multihull division. J Class yachts Rainbow and Svea head the prestige entries, racing head-to-head on a dedicated windward-leeward course. The wait is over.

Lürssen has officially delivered the 117-metre Boardwalk, one of the largest superyachts to enter service in recent years. Built under the project name Project Testarossa, the yacht departed the German shipyard following the completion of sea trials and final outfitting.

Designed externally by Frank Woll Studio, Boardwalk measures 117 metres in length and reportedly exceeds 5,600GT, placing her among the largest yachts ever delivered by Lürssen. While details surrounding her interior remain private, the yacht's profile is defined by sweeping deck lines, expansive glazing and a tiered superstructure that rises across six decks.

With delivery now complete, Boardwalk joins an elite group of yachts above the 100-metre mark — a scale few shipyards are capable of achieving.

Some yachts make headlines because of their size. Others because of who built them. Boardwalk does both.

Lürssen’s next delivery has a name.

Nixie, formerly known as Project Jassj, was spotted transiting the Kiel Canal earlier this month ahead of sea trials in the Baltic Sea. The 102.4-metre motor yacht has been five years in the making, with British studio RWD responsible for both exterior and interior design.

Her profile is immediately recognisable as a Lürssen. A traditional flared bow leads into a long, clean sheerline, with sweeping deck lines rising gradually toward the stern. Dark glazing wraps each deck level, contrasting against the soft grey hull and reinforcing her considerable length. Among her more unusual reported features is a semi-suspended glass swimming pool positioned aft, which the yard has described as an industry first at this scale.

At 3,420GT, Nixie carries exceptional internal volume for her length, placing her among the most spacious yachts in the 100 to 110-metre class. Delivery is expected in Q3 2026.

A new name, and another chapter for one of Germany’s most enduring yards.
