Pan is a full-on psytrance DJ and ex-Rock band lead singer who pretty much traded rock stadium gigs with 6,000+ people in California some moons ago; to play in several psytrance festivals in Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands, Boracay, Manila, USA and the UK. In 2008 he was also one of 2 DJs who played at the World Trade Centre (Manila) for Tiesto's El
ement of Life Tour in front of (ironically) 6,800+ people. He started producing psytrance in Sydney using FruityLoops (way before its current incarnation as FL Studio); but it wasn’t until recent co-producing with Mechanimal that the stage was set for Pan to focus on psytrance production in Synesthesia Studio based in Barcelona. Legend has it that a certain rock song, “Lay Down With Dogs”, written and composed by Pan, performed in CBGBs New York was actually a tad unfinished. Buried in 20 years of travel, memory, trivia and nostalgia...it was actually finished by a young singer-songwriter by the name of Liam Cloud, who performed it live with first band “Cloud 9” in the 02 Stadium in London 2 decades after its first draft. That song, among many things (not the least of which would be the father-son thing) was very possibly the cement that built the foundation for a partnership between Pan and Liam. Liam
Liam Cloud is a young singer-songwriter who has many places he calls ‘home’ (including Pluto) but is currently a Barcelona local. He is known for his versatile vocals and impressive guitar skills which he uses to transmit the emotions in the lyrics he writes as well as the songs he covers. An iconic song “I Came From Pluto” is the single that was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Folk/Singer-Songwriter category of the 2016 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). Liam’s song was awarded out of 16,000 entries from 137 countries. The song is also part of an EP of 5 original songs written almost entirely in Barcelona. Liam sings powerful covers and was also very recently seen in The Voice of Spain (La Voz) 2017, with his unique version of Alicia Keys’ “If I ain’t got you” which got the 4 judges to turn around during the blind auditions. Quite an emotional feat. The video has gathered almost 100,000 views in a very short amount of time. From a listener’s perspective, Liam’s songs have well thought out lyrics full of intrigue and elicits the eternal question: “I wonder who that’s about?” Although he is known for his smooth falsetto, his vocal range is wide and powerful, switching effortlessly from a sort of soft spoken verse, to dramatic highs. All emphasized by his mad guitar skills. As a multi-instrumentalist he plays both acoustic and electric guitars, ukulele, drums, and aims to conquer piano, too, in 2018. The Studio
Synesthesia Studio was born out of a shared need to produce music from completely different worlds of music. Both blessed (or cursed) with various manifestations of OCD and synesthesia, the pair have invested in a Mac-based full-service recording studio with Logic Pro, Cubase, Slynth. Serum, Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 sound interface, industry-grade NT1A microphone, Neewer sound isolation unit, full sound treatment. As a recording studio it aims to be available to the many talented artists in Barcelona and artists based elsewhere who now have one more reason to visit our beautiful city. Synesthesia will also fill in the gaps with other artist and producers’ projects by producing royalty-free music, session work, voice-overs, recordings of podcasts, special accent recordings and more. Liam has been adding guitar solos to everything since the beginning of his obsession with music, and Pan has held onto tracks in his head for 8 years, creating full-on bass lines to make that trancefloor come alive. They’ve just come together to make it a full-on business. Synesthesia also works closely with other artists and innovators in the fields of projection mapping and video production. Pairing your music launch with a kick-ass video by Nuroptics and Event Projection is something we can arrange. Business Doors open formally in January 2018. Open for enquiries - [email protected]
