Montreal it still doesn’t feel real but it’s the end of a chapter... You’re the city that changed my life forever

I arrived here when I was just a 17 year old kid from France. I didn’t even know how to wash my clothes when I arrived, I remember FaceTiming my mom so she could walk me through it at 2am… But most of all I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life. All I knew was that I had these crazy dreams of travelling the world, skydiving, and making videos for a living. And somehow one day (idk if I’ll ever be able to explain it) but I just became certain that it was just a matter of time before it all came true.

Fast forward six years and we did exactly what we said we were going to do and much more…

All because that same 17 year old kid took a chance on himself, kept being delusional, and tried to make the most out of every opportunity he could find. Montreal was the home base that helped me build the confidence to create my dream life and go on all these adventures - and for that I’ll never be grateful enough. This city was one of the very few constants amidst all the craziness in my life…

This is by no means an easy goodbye but it’s a necessary one. I know deep in my heart that it’s time for a new challenge. So today we’re moving across the world to chase some bigger dreams but with that very same childlike delusion. I always knew this day would come but I didn’t think it would be this difficult… I don’t know when I’ll return to Montreal but I know that a part of me will never have to - because the spirit of this city will live on with me forever.

Currently writing this from the airport and I’m tearing up for the first time in a while - (crazy what going through 6 years of a camera roll does to a mf). Montreal I’ll love you forever. Thank you for all the memories and the lifelong friends. And if there’s one thing this journey has taught me it’s just how small the world actually is. So to my montreal family and friends: this is just a see you later ❤️
