Idle Hands

Here are a few photos of my first project I started this week.

I found some pine wood at the local hardware store that was a good size, and then began measuring from there.

Using nothing more than a tape measure and a few simple hand tools, I took to work shaping the top and the bottom of my latest design. A large coffee table.

I'm about halfway there now... Most of the measurements and cuts have been made, and most of the parts are glued together.

Just a few more sections to shape and glue onto the base now (including the top), and then it's on to sanding and varnishing the final piece before adding some legs.

I still haven't decided whether to design and create my own legs for this table, or to just add some pre-made legs from a store. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!!
