MUNs are perfect opportunity to speak in front of the large masses of people. On the other places, you may or may not speak, but on the conference like this, you just have to! The whole success on the conference depends on it. So, that's the perfect place where we can step up out of our comfort zone and start building that much needed public speaking confidence. Many successful politicians have admitted that MUN conferences have been ice breaker for them and first step in their public self-expressing.
- Another much needed quality is research skills. We all know that before any conference, we have to go thorough preparation not only on topic, but on countries policies and negotiations as well. That's a complex and a long process but very beneficial to us in future researches. We'll learn how to look up for things, how to focus on our own task, but more importantly, how to do it all QUICKLY. Once you gain these skills, you will have less problems in dealing with your professional challenges. Without a doubt, participation on such a conferences itself shows your interest and understanding of basic UN related activities, the current world wide events, networking of the intercultural exchange, high up your team spirit and raising their leadership skills.
