WHY AND HOW WE AGE?

Is it perhaps the oldest problem that humans have been relentlessly trying to investigate, both at the philosophical and scientific levels?
Why does the genome age? Why does the cell age? Why does the organism age? (Why) is death inevitable?

Well, and more importantly: how does it happen at the cellular level? Can we reverse it? delay it? Can we “recharge our cellular batteries?”

All these questions will be discussed by Prof. Saad Ali, https://www.facebook.com/samehsa who previously founded a Center for Aging Research at Zewail City and is currently directing tumor biology and metabolic research at 's Cancer Hospital - Egypt 57357.

MARC has established its nanotechnology unit to synthesize fully characterized nanomaterials to cover a wide range of materials, including proteins, lipids, metals, metal oxides and polymers.

Our offered services include:
1. Tailored solutions for nano-drug delivery systems that fit our client’s needs:
- Loading various drugs and active constituents on natural-based or metal-based nanomaterials
- Encapsulating various drugs and active constituents into lipids, proteins and polymers
2. Developing customized nano-formulations based on requests or research plans
3. Offering ready-to-use characterized nanomaterial stocks upon request

في إطار استمرار التعاون مع الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، استقبل مركز مارك الأستاذ الدكتور محمد سلامة.

وخلال الزيارة، قام أ.د. سلامة بجولة داخل مختلف وحدات المركز، والتي شملت وحدة الأبحاث الإكلينيكية (بسعة 64 سريرًا)، ووحدة البيولوجيا الجزيئية، ووحدة الجينوم، ووحدة زراعة الخلايا، حيث أعرب عن تقديره للإمكانات المتقدمة والبنية التحتية المتميزة التي يتمتع بها المركز.

ويشمل هذا التعاون دبلومة البحوث الإكلينيكية، وهي الأولى من نوعها في المنطقة، وتقدم برنامجًا تعليميًا شاملًا يغطي التجارب الإكلينيكية، والتكافؤ الحيوي، واقتصاديات الدواء، و اليقظة الدوائية، إلى جانب تدريب عملي تطبيقي داخل مركز MARC.
