The Grand Egyptian Museum and Phlog have signed a collaboration agreement to launch “Framing Time,” a photography and cultural storytelling program for emerging photographers across Egypt, in partnership with Legacy Development and Management.

Launching in June 2026, the program turns the GEM into a creative and educational hub through workshops, masterclasses, photo walks, public talks, portfolio reviews, photography competitions, and large-scale exhibitions hosted at the museum. It is designed to support a new generation of Egyptian photographers documenting and reinterpreting the country’s cultural identity.

The agreement was signed by GEM CEO Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Phlog founder and managing director Khaled Taher, and Legacy CEO Merette Elsayed. Phlog is an Egyptian photography platform and visual storytelling community, while the GEM is the largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization.

Egyptian actress Salma Abu Deif features in Loewe’s new campaign film marking the Spanish house’s 180th anniversary.

The film brings together a cast of artists, actors, and longtime collaborators of the House to mark nearly two centuries since Loewe began as a leather-making collective in Madrid. Abu Deif appears alongside Gisele Bündchen, Julia Garner, Kara Wai, Kara Walker, and Sissy Spacek.

Her appearance follows her recent role as a regional ambassador for Loewe, having worn the house to the premiere of her film “Izma” and across recent editions of Paris Fashion Week.
