After a year in office, there was an outbreak of rallies against the President Mohammad Morsi calling for his ousting, even declaring itself as the second revolution of the #30th of June, the sole purpose of these great numbers taking to the streets was the removal of the democratically elected president Mohammad #Morsi. Following these protests with one day, the #military interfered with a statement, it's bottom line was giving all the political movements in the country to settle the issue within the next 48 hours. After that President Mohammad Morsi gave his last speech before the #coup, making it one of the shortest revolutions in history, lasting for only a few hours. This is a brief but straight to the point summary of the last few days before the #coup. After the statement made by General #Elsisi, declaring a #military_coup, several Islamic channels have been blacked out, making this the first action of the coup. Following this, several arrests of well-known Islamist figures, such as Khairat Elshater, the deputy head of the #Muslim_Brotherhood, and Sheikh Hazem Salah Abo Ismaeil, one of the prominent religious and political figures in #Egypt after the 25th of January revolution. Arrest warrants were also issued for around 300 other Islamist or moderate Islamist figures, thus jeopardizing the freedom of speech and the freedom of media all at one go. The event that caused further distress between the supporters of legitimacy and the Supreme Council of Armed Forces was the massacre that was carried out on the morning of the 9th of July against those who were peacefully protesting in the area. The attack occurred while protesters were preforming the Fajr (dusk) prayers and left them with 105 dead Egyptian men, women and children, and around a 1000 injured, and even going further to calling them terrorists and accusing them with the intention of trespassing onto military grounds and other acts of violence, taking into notice the killings started during prayer time while they were merely praying. The event left many families missing one or two of their family members on the first day of #Ramadan which is a spiritual and festive month in #Egypt where families like to break their fast to-gather. After those events fliers were thrown from helicopters that usually survey the area twice asking #protestors to remain peaceful and not to resort to any acts of violence, and whoever wanted to leave was free to do so and they "won't go after him" and whoever wants to stay can stay, which some saw as adding insult to injury. The second time it said to not cause any blockage to roads and keep it peaceful and that the army was always there to answer the call of the people!!
