EP Bridge Pile Cap according to Egyptian Code

EP Bridge Pile Cap version 1.0.0.0 is a program for design or investigation of bridge pile cap.
The program allow to input three different case of loadings for creep & shrinkage loads, two different case of loadings for differential settlement loads, three different cases of loadings for earth pressure loads, two different cases of loadings for prestressing loads, two different cases of loadings for live loads vehicle model 1, two different cases of loadings for live loads uniform model 1, two different cases of loadings for live loads model 3, four different cases of loadings for braking forces, two different cases of loadings for centrifugal & lateral loads, five different cases of loadings for temperature loads, five different cases of loadings for wind loads, ten different cases of loadings for earth pressure loads and ten different cases of loadings for accidental shock loads. The program will design or investigate the pile caps for the critical combinations (service or ultimate) from all the input loads (the maximum maximum combinations).
The word investigate means, check piles working capacities, check shear, check punch, design reinforcement and check crack width according to Egyptian code and increase reinforcement until the crack width become safe, while the program is not check the rigidity of pile cap during investigation and the program use the input thickness of pile cap as it is. The user is responsible for input rigid depth of pile cap (pile loads maybe unsafe, if the pile cap is not rigid).
The word design means, design layout of piles from the layouts shown in the manual (maybe there will be other shape of layout will be most economic and not shown in the manual but the program will provide start shape and user shall try other shapes and use investigation to find the best economic and optimum design (90% the program output will be the best economic optimum design)), check rigidity of pile cap, increase the depth of pile cap until the pile cap becomes rigid, design reinforcement and check crack width according to Egyptian code and increase reinforcement until the crack width become safe, check punch, increase the depth of pile cap until it safe punch and repeat all the previous steps from start, check shear, increase the depth of pile cap until it safe shear and repeat all the previous steps from start.
The program includes the maximum moments and maximum shears for part of pile cap and make it govern for design and checking. In addition, the average moments and average shear for whole width of pile cap can be used but it is recommended to be used only when the pile cap is subjected to vertical loads only without horizontal loads or moments.
The report output includes the case of loading which provide the maximums, so the user can check manually easily.
The screen drawing includes the direction of bottom layer of bottom reinforcement as well as the direction of top layer of top reinforcement.
The program use ACI journal (1995) concerning the rigidity of bridge pile cap, which can be briefed as the maximum cantilever length of pile cap, from face of column, divided by the overall thickness of pile cap, shall not exceed 2.2.
It’s the first program all over the world which design the layout of piles and save many iteration of the designer, while version 1.0.0.0 is restricted to design layout of piles with maximum 13 piles.
Version 1.0.0.0 can design or investigate pile cap according to Egyptian Code only
The program works by SI-units (N, mm) and American units (inch, foot and pound).
Also the program consider many types of bars diameters available in markets:
1- Egyptian diameters
2- British diameters.
3- Euro diameters.
4- American diameters.
5- Saudi diameters.
6- Canadian diameters.
