As part of this exciting collaboration, students from these universities are encouraged to apply and participate in the Embroidery Motifs Design Competition — a creative initiative celebrating Egypt’s rich embroidery heritage.

Organized by Karama Foundation, powered by GebRaa, and funded by ExxonMobil Egypt, this national design competition invites young designers, artists, and students to create original embroidery motifs to be applied on garments — blending traditional techniques with contemporary fashion.

📌About Mrs. Aida Zayed is a seasoned expert in Fashion and Design, with a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors. She is playing a pivotal role in growing her family business as the n Executive Manager of Miss Paris Company and stores for Ready Made Garments . She also managed MONY, her own well-established fashion brand since 2000- 2010.

Previously 2010- 2025, Mrs. Zayed held leadership roles at the Fashion and Design Center (FDC) and the Jewellery Technology and Creative Industries Center – MTI, where she contributed significantly to the development of Egypt’s design ecosystem..
She also served as the Manager of the Leather Technology Center- MTI since 2014 .
Mrs. Zayed is also a Board Member at Kafr El Dawar Spinning and Weaving Company, under the Ministry of Public Business Sector.
