Role:
Requirements gathering.
Designing, developing and testing software in C / C++ on embedded systems.
Designing practical solutions to technical problems.
Producing clear and concise documentation such as
Software requirements specification document.
Software design document.
Test plan document.
Integrating and testing functionality with other parts of the system.
Interacting with the hardware team.
Debugging and fault finding.
Essential qualifications:
B.Sc. of Computer engineering or Communication and Electronics engineering.
0 – 2 years of experience.
Experience of programming using C/C++ programming languages.
Strong background in embedded systems.
Good knowledge in RTOS.
Ability to understand hardware datasheets.
Desirable qualifications:
Ability to understand schematics and layout.
PCB development.
VHDL programming.
MATLAB experience.
Experience working with ARM processors and microcontrollers.
Experience with hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART …etc.
Experience with debugging instruments such as Oscilloscope.
Personal skills:
Ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Team working.
Fast self-learner.
Highly motivated.
Problem solving skills.

VLSI Design Engineer – DSP Focus

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Strong fundamental skills in digital VLSI design and fixed-point arithmetic
• Strong RTL coding skills using Verilog, VHDL or SystemVerilog
• Good knowledge of digital communication systems and DSP basics
• Basic understanding of the ASIC and FPGA digital design flow
• Good Matlab and c programming skills
• Familiarity with low-power design techniques is a plus
• FPGA verification skills is a plus
• Background in a scripting language (Perl or tcl) is a plus
