STEM Active Learning - StarGazing offers telescope observations and public lectures and exhibitions on astronomy and space science. The program tailors its activities to enhance the scientific literacy of the society and to excite interest about science and technology among youth.

:: Celebrating the World Amateur Radio Day in Egypt ::
Every April 18, radio amateurs worldwide take to the airwaves celebrating the World Amateur Radio Day. The day commemorates establishing the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) in 1925.

In collaboration with the Egyptian Amateur Radio Society, the Cairo Science Festival invites youth and children (age 6 and up) to experience the fascinating world of radio amateurs in a workshop that will include operating amateur radio equipment, hands-on activities and communicating with radio amateur from around the globe. Participants will receive the Pyramids Merit Certificate.

The event is open to all and is free of charge.

Keynote Talks - 6th Annual Cairo Science Festival 05/04/2015

The keynote talk of the 6th annual Cairo Science Festival on April 4th, 2015. Opening remarks given by Dr. Mahmoud Sakr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, followed by a summary of the past 5 years of the festival by Dr. Alaa Ibrahim, festival director. The keynote talk was given by Dr. Fathi Saleh on:
- Scientific Innovations in the Ancient Egyptian Civilization
Then the following two thematic talks were given:
- The Geological Evolution of 6th of Oct. City by Dr. Mohamed EL Sharkawy (on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishing Zayed City)
- Lanterns of the Universe by Dr. Alaa Ibrahim (on the occasion of the international year of light)
The event was held in collaboration with the Zee Festival on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Zayed City
