In 2017, Prime Ministerial Decree no.1396/2017 rechartered CCCPA as the "Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding" - an independent public agency under the suzerainty of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, with an international geographical mandate that covers all peace and security-related issues. CCCPA provides training programs, workshops and seminars for those involved in issues of conflict prevention, early warning, conflict resolution, peacekeeping and peacebuilding, and all other peace and security-related issues. CCCPA also provides training in the fields of preventing radicalization and extremism leading to terrorism; combating human trafficking and smuggling of migrants; and the implementation of the women, peace and security agenda.
