"ʿUbūr" is a unique musical experience bringing together the Egyptian Zār tradition and Moroccan Gnawa heritage, blending ritual, rhythm, and spirit into a contemporary performance that explores themes of trance, memory, and healing.
A rare artistic encounter where different musical worlds meet and resonate in one powerful experience.

📢 Please note: There will be no Zār performances on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Egyptian Center for Culture and Arts (Makan).
Weekly performances will resume the following week.

"ʿUbūr" هو تجربة موسيقية استثنائية تجمع بين تقاليد الزار المصري "عبور" وموسيقى Gnawa المغربية، في عرض حي يمزج بين الطقوس، الإيقاع، والروح، ويخلق مساحة معاصرة للعبور بين الثقافات والذاكرة.

حدث فني فريد يجمع موسيقيين من خلفيات مختلفة، ويقدّم لقاءً نادرًا بين تراثين عميقين في تجربة واحدة.
