At last our mission is not to sell a product but after extensive reading about Egypt's leading role in history for manufacturing textiles and our leading position between countries we (the founders of akhmim textiles) felt that we must increase the peoples trust in the Egyptian textiles again and regain our glory and position in the new world as the best textiles manufacturers in the whole wide world as before. No matter how the strong the winds of development blow and how high the ring of technology chimes and how crowded the markets are with mechanized textiles, the textile industry in Akhmim continues to breathe in eternity and survival. It is an industry that does not fear international trade deals because it is protected by historical bordersthat have preserved the craft, its traditions and the dignity of the manual loom.

أخميم هي مدينة في مصر على الشاطئ الشرقي للنيل. توجد بها آثار مدينة بانوبوليس الإغريقية القديمة. اشتهرت في العصر المسيحي بأديرتها الكثيرة. كانت في العصر العربي الأول عاصمة منطقة منفصلة عرفت منذ الفتح العربي بكور أخميم أي المدينة الرئيسية التي يتبعها اخريات وكان يحدها شمالأً طهطا وجنوباً قوص. واشتهرت اخميم حديثا بصناعة السكر والنسيج وهي من المواقع السياحية الهامة في مصر
