As the world’s eyes turn to Egypt this Saturday for the historic Grand Egyptian Museum opening—an event attended by over 40 presidents and dignitaries from around the globe—we proudly highlight our vital contribution to this monumental cultural milestone.
We supplied monorail cranes equipped with 10 hoists 5 ton capacity working perfectly in sync, allowing operators to select any hoist independently or all ten in tandem for the most delicate handling of Pharaoh Khufu’s 4,600-year-old iconic solar boat. The precision and control in this process was made possible by special control panels designed and engineered by the skilled Egyptian engineers of MISR.
Our hoists are HADEF (Heinrich De Fries), German-made, renowned for their superior quality and reliability—truly world-class equipment.
These cranes played a crucial role in safely lifting and positioning the massive, delicate cedar wood components during the reconstruction of this priceless relic, now housed in a state-of-the-art facility within the museum.
We extend sincere gratitude to our esteemed customer, Hassan Allam Construction, the main contractor, whose leadership and dedication were instrumental in delivering this world-class heritage project. Together, we celebrate the fusion of engineering excellence and ancient Egyptian legacy in this grand opening.
This is not just a museum opening—it is a celebration of civilization, history, and a bold step for Egypt on the global stage.
