At the Forum, Dr. Ayman Bahaa-Eldin, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education, highlighted a key challenge facing education systems worldwide: preparing learners for careers that will continuously evolve throughout their lives.
Responding to this challenge, Andreas Adrian, Cluster & Focal Area Coordinator for Technical Education and Labour Market Development (TELM) at GIZ Egypt, shared how years of collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and international partners have helped build the foundations of a modern TVET system in Egypt.
From Technical Education 2.0 and strengthened quality assurance mechanisms to greater private sector engagement, flexible learning pathways, and new hybrid digital learning models, the focus remains on equipping learners with the skills needed to adapt and succeed in a rapidly changing labor market.
“Digitalization is not only a challenge; it is an opportunity,” Adrian noted, emphasizing its potential to expand access and create new opportunities for learners.
The discussion reinforced a shared vision for a more flexible, innovative, and future-ready technical education ecosystem.
Our sincere appreciation to Dr. Ayman Bahaa-Eldin and Andreas Adrian for this insightful discussion and their continued commitment to advancing technical education in Egypt.
