South Sudan Police Service Win Big At the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Competition (EAPCC) in Kigali, Rwanda
South Sudan National Police Service has won big in the recently concluded East African Police Chiefs Competition held in the Rwandan capital, Kigali. South Sudan was among the 11 countries that contested in the competition along with its counterparts including the host Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Ethiopia, Tanzania and others.
South Sudan won seven (7) medals in boxing and its details are as follows; Two silver medals won by Di Matias and Canadian Christopher. The five bronze medals were won by Mel Dienqo Di Matayas, Akomo Galaba, Alamin, and Nesuri Otem all received a bronze medal. As for Taekwondo activism, the player / Acute Wal-Kawal has won the bronze medal.
The Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) is a regional police body whose membership consists of Chiefs of Police of the 14 countries. It was established in 1998 with the aim of harmonizing, strengthening police co-operation and joint strategies, sharing of crime related information and harmonization of laws in order to enhance the capacity of Law Enforcement Agencies to combat transnational organized crime.
