Moving Texts Lab

We will be waiting for you, Wed 28 Feb, 7:00 pm in Cervantes Dokki with

“A strange incident! The disappearance of all mannequins from all store displays.”
On her journey to get rid of old, complicated and complex feelings such as love, anger, and revenge, we witness a love story being created between the heroine of the research topic and a mannequin that she made herself.
“Mannequin” focuses on the molds society places us in, its expectations of us, and its constant attempts to box the collective and curb the difference. The former occurs through a search/discussion/game/fight between two performers (Kamel Ragab and Fatma Elzahraa) in the presence of music (Yunis).

This performance is part of a series of five performances, part of the “Material Rituals of Parricide” project, which is an ongoing project that began in 2020 and is still being worked on.
