We’re looking for a male singer for a role on a new opera production. Good English accent is a must (as the opera is English)

Not necessarily operatic voice, but a good experience with musical theater is required.

Experience with different musical styles is a plus.

Flexible availability during August/September is needed.

Workload: ~16 hours per week

Having attended a French school as a child in Egypt, I feel a special connection with the French language, and it has become my favorite language to sing on stage. ❤️ I am loving that my 2022/23 season includes quite a bit of French repertoire, including Marguerite in “Faust” (earlier this season Detroit Opera - Detroit Opera House and later this season again Opéra de Limoges), my debut singing Ravel’s Schéhérazade, and up next, my role debut as the title role in Massenet’s rediscovered opera “Ariane.” While I am hard at work preparing Ariane (promise to share a few snippets soon!) here’s another awesome French piece: Bizet’s “Adieux de l'hôtesse arabe,” with pianist Amir Awad. ❤️ 🎥: San Francisco Opera
