As Magnetic Group CEO Risto Mäeots reminds us:
“As we wrap up the year, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and be with the people who matter most - for a healthy and inspiring start to the year ahead.”
Here’s to continuing the journey - together. 💜
🪄 Here at Magnetic Group, we believe there’s a touch of magic in everything we do.
We wish you a season filled with that same magical feeling, creating memories and celebrating with your loved ones.

A small pause before the holidays. 🎄
Recently, Magnetic teams came together to celebrate the pre-Christmas season across our Vilnius, Miami, and Tallinn offices. Different cities, different time zones, but the same festive vibe. 💜

Behind every aircraft that takes off safely, there’s a person making it possible.
Today, we’re celebrating one of them: Ilyas Mweemba, our dedicated Certifying Engineer from Lusaka station, who marks an incredible 10 years with Magnetic Line. He’s sharing his journey, so we invite you to dive in.👇
👉 How did your path in aviation start, and what is your current role?
Ilyas: My aviation journey began with a childhood dream and curiosity about how aircraft stay in the air. That interest eventually led me to study Aircraft Maintenance in a local aviation training school. I joined Direct Maintenance in Lusaka as an intern, which opened my eyes to the opportunities in the field. From there, I moved into a mechanic role and, over the years, progressed to my current position as a B777 Certifying Engineer, responsible for ensuring aircraft is safe, compliant, and ready for service.
👉 What are some of the most exciting projects you’ve worked on?
Ilyas: In line maintenance, every day brings something new. Each aircraft we release feels like a project of its own. We work behind the scenes, but with a big responsibility. Knowing that crews and passengers rely on the quality of our work is what drives me. Watching an aircraft take off after we’ve cleared it remains one of the most rewarding and exciting moments of this profession.
👉 How has the group evolved during your time here?
Ilyas: Over the past ten years, I’ve seen the group grow significantly — improving technical standards, investing in better tools, and strengthening training for engineers. The culture has also become more collaborative, with a strong focus on knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
👉 What would you name as your key achievement?
Ilyas: My biggest achievement so far has been earning my EASA B1 license. It took years of study and hands-on experience, and it marked an important step that allowed me to take on my current responsibilities as a certifying engineer.
Thank you, Ilyas Mweemba, for 10 years of dedication and excellence!
Behind every takeoff - men who make it happen. Happy International Men’s day from Magnetic Group!

🗓 Ten years ago, on October 5, 2015, Magnetic Engines opened its doors in a 100 m² workshop. No ribbon-cutting, no grand ceremony - just benches, tools, and a belief that standards must come before scale.
A decade later, that belief has carried us into a 1,300 m² facility, more than 319 client engagement events, and 67 customers served by early 2025. The philosophy remains unchanged. And recently, we gathered to celebrate this milestone and reflect on the Magnetic Engines journey. 🎉

It’s no news that at Magnetic we are proud to say that it is our people who shape our success. This November, we’re celebrating Taavi Ilvest, Part-145 and CAMO Quality Manager, who has been part of the company for 10 years. We caught up with Taavi to talk about his journey and reflections from a decade at Magnetic. ⤵️
🔹 How did your path in aviation start?
⇨ Aviation has always fascinated me, perhaps because I grew up living close to an airport. In 2012, I decided to apply for a mechanic apprentice position and was fortunate to be selected. I spent about a year and a half working in base maintenance before pursuing other opportunities. In 2015, I rejoined the company as a quality inspector, continuing my journey in aviation with renewed enthusiasm.
🔹 What is your current role and what are your main responsibilities?
⇨ I’m the Part-145 and Part-CAMO Compliance Monitoring Manager. My main responsibility is to ensure that our operations comply with the relevant aviation regulations in these areas. In addition to compliance monitoring, a significant part of my role involves supporting various business units by providing guidance and answering regulatory questions.
🔹 How has the group evolved over the years you’ve worked here?
⇨ The changes since then have been remarkable. Back in 2012, AME had only one hangar with a single bay, and base maintenance focused solely on Boeing 737 Classic and NG aircraft. Seeing how much we’ve expanded in both scale and capability has been truly impressive.
🔹 Can you share some of the most exciting projects you’ve worked on?
⇨ There have been many exciting projects over the years, such as opening a new line station almost “overnight” or adding new capabilities on short notice. I enjoy these kinds of unforeseen challenges — they keep the work dynamic and rewarding.
🔹 What would you consider your key achievement while working here?
⇨ I wouldn’t call it solely my achievement, but rather a collective success of the entire Quality team. We’ve worked hard to be true partners to the support units, helping them achieve their goals and successfully complete their projects.

2025 reminded us what we can achieve when we move as one team.
We showed that passion and perseverance take you far - 1,704.5 km far, to be exact.
🌊 209.5 km on water
🚴 450 km cycled
🏃 1,045.5 km run
It wasn’t just about numbers - it was about the shared goals and the energy that comes from doing what we love, together.
With this same spirit into 2026, chasing new distances and creating new memories. ✈️
