In my field, you learn fast that you can’t understand someone by what they say they like. You understand them by what they do.

We’re obsessed with finding people who like the same music, movies, hobbies. That’s just checklist data. 📋
Easy to curate. Easy to mirror.

Behavior isn’t.

You can have everything in common with someone on paper and feel absolutely nothing.
And you can have almost nothing in common and feel instantly aligned.

Because connection isn’t about matching interests.
It’s about matching reactions.

It’s about how someone processes uncertainty.
How they respond to chaos.
Whether they escalate or regulate.
Whether they chase noise or recognize signal.

In intelligence work, compatibility isn’t what you talk about.
It’s how you move through the world together.

Same stress response.
Same dark humor threshold.
Same steadiness when things get unpredictable.

Anyone can match your playlist.
Very few can match your pattern recognition.

đŸ«€ Day 41 — helping people feel more alive

That Glögi hit different 😂

Glögi (mulled wine) đŸ·â™šïž

Also known as: Christmas in a cup. Cinnamon diplomacy. The drink that smiles at you before it humbles you.

On paper? It’s just warm spiced wine. Maybe some almonds. A few raisins floating around like they pay rent. It smells like markets, fairy lights, and responsible adult decisions.

Foreigners approach Glögi the same way they approach Scandinavian design.
Minimal. Elegant. Harmless.

“It’s warm juice.”
“It’s basically tea.”
“It’s festive.”

Two cups later, your vowels start softening and you’re telling an Estonian stranger about your 5-year plan with unnecessary confidence.

That’s the trap.

Glögi doesn’t shout. It doesn’t burn your throat like it’s trying to prove something. It slides in smooth. Sweet. Civilised. It tastes like something your aunt would serve at a family gathering.

But make no mistake, the spices are negotiating on your behalf while the alcohol is quietly finalising the deal.

First-timers always underestimate it.

They sip it casually at the Christmas market in Tallinn, holding the little mug like it’s hot apple juice. They forget that in Estonia, subtlety is strength. The drink doesn’t need to flex. It knows the climate.

And then comes the warmth.

Not the “I’m cozy” warmth.
The “why is my entire body suddenly in a group hug” warmth.

You start walking differently. The cold doesn’t bite as hard. The medieval buildings look cinematic. Snowflakes feel poetic. You consider moving here permanently.

That’s Glögi working.

It’s not aggressive. It’s persuasive.

And by the time you realise it’s not just festive juice, you’re on your third cup explaining to your friends that you finally “get” winter.

Respect the mug.

Because Glögi isn’t trying to ruin your night.

It’s just reminding you that in the Baltics, even the softest things have depth.
