VOOL
VOOL is a smart charging company on a mission to support the shift from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles. The problem with current charging solutions is that majority of them use only 1/3 of the total available grid capacity, and the rest is left unused. This is not efficient or sufficient for the mass adoption of EV-s. Instead of investing billions of euros into building new grids, VOOL will utilize them more efficiently.

π VOOL Charging Academy pt 5:
How powerful a home charger do I need?
TLDR: Check your car's tech specs to determine how much power and how many phases it can charge with.
β
Home chargers range from 3.6 to 22kW, but many EVs today can only receive up to 11kW of AC power. That's why you need to check the tech specs.
β
Even if your car can charge with 11kW, choosing a 22kW charger future-proofs your home. It will not harm your EV, and the trend in new cars is towards higher charging speeds.
β
The number always means "up to" specific power, and the actual charging speed depends on your home grid connection and what your EV can receive.
π‘ Pro tip: Your home grid connection must also support your desired charging power. An 11kW charger requires a 3x16A grid connection to charge at full power, and a 22kW one needs 3x32A.

π VOOL Charging Academy pt 3:
AC or DC chargers - which one should I get for my home?
β‘ DC Chargers are large and expensive. This investment suits public charging points where many users need high-speed charging.
π A compact AC charger, like VOOL, is friendlier to your wallet and allows semi-fast charging, which is perfect for home use.

π Charging Academy pt 2: Where to install an EV charger at home?
At your parking space, of course!
π‘ But keep in mind that on top of an electricity connection, your smart charger also needs internet access. Be it WiFi, cable, or 4G.
Btw the VOOL Charger comes with an integrated eSIM to keep your charger always online for free.
π‘ Pro tip: think about which way you need to park your car so the charging cable can reach your EV's socket.
It's not important with the VOOL Charger's 6.5m cable. The cord is long enough to reach your EV any way you park.
