| The French Embassy in Argentina has declared Mendoza Vice Governor H**e Casado persona non grata following remarks about the French national football team that it described as racist.
The decision came after Casado posted on X following France's World Cup victory over Paraguay, referring to the French team as "the African team."
French Ambassador Romain Nadal announced that embassy staff will not participate in cooperation meetings with the Mendoza provincial government if Casado is present. The vice governor later defended her comments, saying they were intended as sarcasm.
🇹🇷🤝🇻🇪 Türkiye's Ambassador to Venezuela spoke about the return of the Turkish search and rescue brigade to its home country. Taking advantage of the aircraft's return flight, Türkiye also delivered humanitarian aid to Venezuela following the two earthquakes that struck the country on June 24.
The ambassador highlighted that the shipment includes tents and tons of medical supplies to support communities affected by the disaster.

| Authorities say 94 emergency shelters are now operating across Venezuela, providing temporary housing and essential services to 18,437 people displaced by the June earthquakes.
The shelters, located mainly in La Guaira, Caracas and Miranda, offer food, medical care and psychosocial support while reconstruction efforts continue. Officials said the network has capacity for more than 24,000 people.
The government says the shelters will remain in operation until families can safely return to permanent housing.
