كان العلم الجزائري حاضرا في رالي داكار 2018، عبر مشاركة فريق مساعدة من STA compétition، الذي كان يوفر الدعم للسائقين على حلبات السباق بفضل شاحنات مساعدة تي 4، وقد رافق عدد من الميكانيكيين والكهربائيين سائقي هذه المركبات، بينما قامت تي 4 بنقل جميع المعدات، قطع الغيار، العجلات الاحتياطية ... الخ.
في داكار 2018، حمل كل من أحمد بن بختي، سمير بن بختي و رمزي عثماني ألوان الجزائر. وعلى متن شاحنة سباق، من نوع MAN TGA 4x4 بقوة 680 حصان، قدموا المساعدة لفريق Sodicars Racing. وبالمجمل كان عليهم مرافقة 7 سيارات سباق و شاحنة واحدة لتوفير الدعم في حالة وقوع مشكلة.
