حي الكميل الشعبي بوهران والنطق الصحيح للإسم هو "Eckmühl"، الاسم له أصول ألمانية ويحمل إسم المعركة التي دارت بين نابليون وحلفائه الألمان ضد النمساويين في منطقة تسمى: إيغموهل، "Eggmühl" تقع في مقاطعة شيرلينغ في ألمانيا. وانتهت المعركة بانتصار فرنسا على يد نابليون بونابرت، ولهذا السبب سمي حي الكميل في وهران بالجزائر هكذا.

Kmil Hood In Oran City In Algeria Formally is “Eckmühl”, The name has German origins. It was named after the battle that took place between Napoleon and his German allies against the Austrians in an area called: Eggmühl, located in the Schirling district in Germany. The battle ended with the victory of France at the hands of Napoleon Bonaparte, and for that Kamil neighborhood in Oran, Algeria, was named for that incident
