It was such a pleasure to sit down with one of the first believers in our vision
As a pioneer in Brazil's e-commerce scene, he played a major role in launching one of the country’s first marketplaces during his time at Cnova (Nova Pontocom) .
Rafael went on to co-found Omnik Tecnologia, a SaaS platform that empowers businesses across LATAM to evolve into multi-vendor marketplaces another groundbreaking move in Brazil’s digital evolution
Then, at Restaurant Brands International, he served as Head of Technology and Digital for international markets structuring and scaling digital operations across 130 countries, while leading teams and rolling out platforms in over 100 markets .
We had the privilege of hosting him in EVOLVE’s Expert Session #022, where he shared invaluable insights on marketplace creation, digital transformation, and global scaling
Today’s coffee was more than a catch-up but a creative brainstorming session.
We reflected on where we’ve been, the experiments we’ve tried, past mistakes and learnings as entrepreneurs and the future possibilities and projects for EVOLVE with Rafa's wisdom guiding the way forward.
The club blesses me ( and our members) with the opportunity to meet and learn from such accomplished people who’ve done so many cool things in their lives
Striving for improvement has shaped my life, starting with my early passion for football as a goalkeeper.
Aspiring to join a major team, I practiced tirelessly, transitioning to tennis later, aiming for a professional level.
Despite a late start, intense training led me to briefly rank second in the 18A category in SP.
A rare wrist disease interrupted my tennis career, pushing me towards squash. While not reaching a pro level, my commitment to growth persisted.
Reflecting on perceived inadequacy fueled my drive for excellence, a common theme discovered through biographies and podcasts. Recently, I spoke with Juliana Saad, VP at DHL, whose global journey and commitment to growth echoed my own experiences.
