Thanks to all of you who chose to trust us at FinlandStudio with your music in 2023. We are really honored and happy to be part of the creation of so much wonderful music.
2023 saw lots of productions spanning a wide range of genres, no less than 5 nominations and 2 won DanishMusicAwards and so many great sessions with all of you.

I have been looking forward for this one to come out. Karmen Rõivassepp has her very own place in the musical landscape. A place where even the most intricate sounds effortless. There is much beauty to be found in this music. Jazznyt calls it a monumental and strong release. I agree!

❤ You can hear Simon Eskildsen on piano, Adrian Christensen on bass & Daniel Sommer on drums – the guys that have always shared the excitement and joy for making music together and that have been the most wonderful band members as well as supportive friends.

My hero and mentor Jan Erik Kongshaug has passed away. Since my teenage years I have sought out the records with the seemingly magical liner notes 'recorded in Rainbow Studio by Jan Erik Kongshaug'. With the curtains down and the lights off I have listened to those records with wonder.
Jan Erik generously took me in 15 years ago and let me learn from watching him perform his magic in Rainbow Studio in Oslo. In my ears he set the bar when it comes to transforming the sound of acoustic instruments into beatiful recordings. Today was his funeral but his legacy, the 1000's of recordings, wil remain for a long time. Go listen to some of them.
