June 30th at 20:00: Jungle Money Four + Phil Minton
Phil Minton - vocal
Hasse Poulsen - guitar
Jan Kaspersen - piano
Peter Friis Nielsen - electric bass
Claus Bøje - drums
Experience Jungle Money 4 performing improvisational music alongside British vocalist Phil Minton.
The English singer Phil Minton is a phenomenon. Since he broke through on the English music scene in the 1970s with Mike Westbrook's orchestra, he has established himself as a radical vocal equilibrist. For him, the voice is an instrument, and his radical approach to sound combined with his enormous energy and commitment means that he is still touring extensively all over the world at the age of eighty. Whether he is twisting, cracking and foaming or letting his great Welsh singing voice sing workers' songs or Paul Haine's poems, one cannot help but be captivated by the overwhelming life force he emits.
Jungle Money 4 is Denmark's established state ensemble for improvised freethinking. Jan Kaspersen's laconic unpredictability and Peter Friis-Nielsen's electric bass circles surround Claus Bøje's percussive sound poetry and Hasse Poulsen's electrified compost modernism.
Jungle Money 4 will release its much-requested CD Too Old to Die Young in July.

June 29th at 21:00: Michaela Turcerová IN FLUX
Michaela Turcerová - alto sax
Simon Mariegaard - live processing
Michaela Turcerová is a Slovak composer and saxophonist who searches for hidden and unheard sounds within instruments. This concert is a solo prepared alto saxophone (and various objects), using extremely saturated amplification to bring out otherwise hidden microsounds from the instrument's body.
(Un)consciously, Turcerová works to break free from the saxophone's traditional, reference-laden sound, instead exploring various modifications of the keys and the air column, engaging with microscopic details, radical reductionism, and distorted harmonies – all in pursuit of her own personal hyperworld. The musical material draws on diverse tribal music, new compositional music for percussion, and improvised music.
Her debut album "alene et" was released on the Slovak record label mappa in the fall of 2024. She is based in Copenhagen, where she leads her octet Doudouči Ensemble and Ensemble ŠUMUM, and is co-leader of the groups ALAWARI and Wolfskin Ensemble.
She trained in classical composition and classical saxophone at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, and at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.
