For ten years, Skip Atwater was the Operations and Training officer for the U.S. Army's secret remote viewing program. He was the one who initiated what we today know under the code name "Project Star Gate". ... he is one of the key players without whom we wouldn't probably be here today talking about RV in the way we do.
In this interview with Jeffrey Mishlove, he reviews many lesser known details concerning how the U.S. Army initiated and sustained their remote viewing program.

The topic of my second conversation with Jeff Mishlove is the application and operational use of remote viewing, when it comes to working in bigger groups and teams.

Jana Rogge is the executive editor of the anthology, The Foundations of Controlled Remote Viewing. She is also the publisher of Center Lane Books, specializing in scientific parapsychology. She is a remote viewer, a remote viewing project manager, and a remote viewing researcher. In addition, she is the managing editor of the New Thinking Allowed Magazine.
Here she reviews the history of remote viewing and shares much information concerning her current research and applied projects. She points out that most remote viewing clients request confidentiality so, while she reveals much, there is much that cannot be revealed.

Breaking news about the upcoming Extended Remote Viewing Course!
One of our two primary instructors, Major William G. “Bill” Ray (US Army, ret.) has suffered a major health emergency. On January 22nd, Bill was taken to the hospital by ambulance, suffering from a major heart attack. The latest word is that he required the placement of two heart stints. Fortunately, he is responding well to treatment and is expected to recover fully. For now, though, he is still in the hospital and will not be able to work with Pam Coronado in instructing the course. For obvious reasons, his wife Sandy will not be with us either.
However, the course will go on! Bill’s close friend and fellow Star Gate alumnus Paul H. Smith, has agreed to fill Bill’s very large shoes. Paul spent seven years in the Star Gate Program, working as an operational viewer, remote viewing theory instructor and trainer, unit historian, and unit security officer. Paul was the compiler and editor of the Defense Intelligence Agency’s now classic Coordinate Remote Viewing Manual. He is a founding director and two-time president of the International Remote Viewing Association, president of and chief instructor for Remote Viewing Instructional Services, Inc. Today the longest continually-serving instructor of controlled remote viewing, Paul is widely regarded as one of the best remote viewing teachers and most influential remote viewing advocates in the world. He is the author of two books, and co-editor of the newly-released Foundations of Controlled Remote Viewing. Many of you will recognize him from his many appearances on radio and TV.
Though his primary focus is CRV, Paul also has a strong foundation in extended remote viewing. In September 1983. months before embarking on CRV training, he performed his first ERV session, and continued to regularly be assigned these kinds of missions through to 1990, when he was forwarded to the 101st Airborne Division due to the advent of Desert Storm. Paul was taught and monitored in ERV by Skip Atwater, the originator of the methodology, and worked further with Skip and with the late Gene Lessman, an important Star Gate authority and innovator in the ERV field.
Pam and Paul are assisted by Dr. Ellen Huffman-Zechman for the in-person monitoring. Ellen is an experienced remote viewing monitor and has worked as an assistant instructor for RVIS Inc. since 2022. Over the past nearly two decades, Ellen has been a member of the board of the International Remote Viewing Association (IRVA), advisor and facilitator for the remote viewing special interest group of the Rhine Research Center, and has been a presenter and/or volunteer at multiple IRVA annual remote viewing conferences.

ERV is more than just “Remote Viewing without a method.”
This is a special opportunity to learn the rarely taught form of remote viewing called Extended Remote Viewing, or ERV. It’s not widely known that ERV predates CRV and was originally taught by Fred “Skip” Atwater and performed by Bill Ray, Mel Riley, Joe McMoneagle and others in the Military Remote Viewing unit. Pam Coronado, former IRVA President, learned a slightly modified version of ERV independently in 1996 and is one of the few viewers today who uses it for operational work.
In teaching this class, Pam Coronado is joined by Bill Ray and his wife, Sandy Glynn Ray. Bill is a retired Army Major with more than 50 years of combined Federal government service as an intelligence and counterintelligence officer. He is one of only five remote viewers trained by the creators of remote viewing, Hal Puthoff and Ingo Swann, for the military Stargate Project at Fort Meade. Bill’s wife, Sandy is also an accomplished Remote Viewer and has devoted years of service as a treasurer of the International Remote Viewing Association (IRVA).
