The legacy of courage lives on. 🫡
In Grandcamp-Maisy, France, U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Kevin Trujillo, Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, delivered the keynote address during a ceremony honoring Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Frank D. Peregory.
On June 8, 1944, Peregory displayed extraordinary gallantry and decisiveness against German defenses during the Normandy campaign. More than eight decades later, his courage, sacrifice, and service continue to inspire generations.
We remember his legacy. We honor his sacrifice. We preserve his story.
