In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called
TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events, that brings people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDx Stuttgart, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Co
nference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. At TEDxStuttgart, we are looking for speakers from the greater Stuttgart region, to give local speakers a chance to present a topic that they deeply care about to an open-minded audience. Additionally, we see TEDxStuttgart as a way to bring a little bit of that TED feeling to Stuttgart, so we are also interested in bringing speakers from other parts of Germany or from abroad to Stuttgart, to introduce them to a new audience. We would also be happy to give novice and younger speakers a chance to present their topic to a wider audience. Last but not least, we welcome suggestions for and submissions from female speakers. We don’t have a formal application process for speakers. For starters, please answer the following three questions and our speaker team will take it from there:
Who are you? Why do you want to speak at TEDxStuttgart? You can send your application and any questions you may have about speaking at TEDxStuttgart (in English or in German, both is fine) to Dirk Haun, Speaker Liaison: [email protected]
Thank you! Please note: „No selling from the stage.“ We cannot offer you a talk to promote your product or services. Also, as per the license from TED we are operating under, „a TEDx event is not a platform for professional speakers, such as motivational speakers and professional life coaches.“
