I’m taking a break from Instagram for a while (a couple of months, maybe more) to be able to fully focus on my newborn son, my wife, reading, writing and the dying art of doing nothing when the opportunity arises. I feel that when I see too many images and read too much (often useless) information, my imagination suffers. I miss the days of inventing stories and imagery in my head. I will try to get these mental habits back (allow my mind to roam more freely) through a little social media detox. I don’t know if it will help but it’s worth a try.

There are other ways of staying in touch with family and friends and I hope to improve on those in the coming months.
