Homosexuals Anonymous does not try to "heal" persons with same-sex attractions as from a disease. When we talk of "healing", we mean divers wounds: hurts in the individual past, a broken relationship with God or other people, a broken relationship with the father or other family members, and much more. We offer help to those who want that so their wounds can heal and they can pursue whatever they
see as their personal goals. Immer wieder kommt es vor, dass jemand uns (in der Regel mit juristischem Halbwissen) reflexartig nach einem kurzen Blick auf unsere Homepage „Konversationstherapie“ unterstellt und nach Bestrafung schreit. Selbst Organisationen sind dann schnell dabei, Hinweise auf uns in den Sozialen Medien wegen "verbotener Konversionstherapie" zu löschen. Das "Wissen" darum basiert für gewöhnlich auf Hörensagen und Gerüchten, die ungeprüft übernommen werden. Wer unsere Seite auch nur ein bisschen genauer ansieht, merkt schnell, welcher Unsinn das ist und dass solchen Behauptungen jegliche Grundlage fehlt. Es ist halt einfacher, Andersdenkende zu kriminalisieren, dann muss man sich nicht mit ihnen auseinandersetzen und gibt sich selbst den Anstrich der (Schein-)Heiligkeit. Toleranz und Meinungsfreiheit gelten für manche offenbar nur für die eigene Meinung. Wir begrüßen all die, die offen und unvoreingenommen Interesse an uns zeigen!

Unfortunately, it oftentimes happens that someone accuses us of „conversion therapy“ – usually with some kind of knee-jerk reaction after a quick look at aour homepage (and in addition to that with little legal knowledge). They then call for legal punishment. Even organizations are quick to delete hints to us on social media due to "forbidden conversion therapy". Basically they take their "knowledge" from unchecked hearsay. Whoever takes at least a brief look at our ministry realizes soon what nonsense that is and that there is no grounds whatsoever for such accusations. Few, however, take that effort. It seems tob e easier for them to criminalize people with different opinions. Like that you do not have to deal with them and their arguments and appear to be „holy“. Tolerance and freedom of thought and speech seem to apply for some only for their own worldview. We greet all those who show unconditional interest in us!

Note: The term "ex-gay" does NOT mean that "homosexuals" have turned into "heterosexuals". What it means is that people with same-sex attractions chose by their free will and based on their beliefs and/or faith to live a life beyond sexual relations with someone of their own sex. A life beyond the gay scene. That does in no way mean they deny their same-sex attractions or repress them. Quite the opposite: they live them out a different way. Those people have learned to love themselves and look at themselves like God does. They are beloved children of God - with their own gifts and talents that they use according to what purpose in life they see fit for themselves. As much as gays demand respect for their life choices, so do ex-gays. Nothing more and nothing less.
