In September about 120 new colleagues joined the family at our new call center location .
One of them is Amra Blume, our Senior Director Operations or as she would say "jack-of-all-trades".
We've had a little chat with her about the time of the acquisition, her tasks and how she relaxes after a long day of work. See for yourselves:

How would you describe your current role?
> I'm the jack-of-all-trades caring about the well-being of all employees, finances and so on in Leipzig and juggling topics like legal requests, job interviews, … Currently I’m also responsible for challenging our processes and structure within our Quality Management team.

What was your first impression when you got to know IDnow with an internal perspective?
> I really liked to experience IDnow's spirit. It's nice to see that the colleagues are kind and also a little bit crazy :-)

What's your biggest challenge at the moment?
> Handling our fast . We are looking for many new colleagues to support us - actually a really nice challenge!

How do you relax after a long working day?
> I like to cook and love to study cookbooks. From now on, I will have an additional hobby: my "Franz" :-)

What might interest you is why and how IDnow got founded. Armin had the idea in 2011 when he had to wait in line for ages in the cold. At that time he was opening a bank account at Commerzbank – today one of our many customers putting their trust in us. Back then you were supposed to go to a post office in person and have someone verify you and your ID.
Being annoyed by this procedure he started to think of a new approach and very soon applied for the patent.
Today he could use IDnow VideoIdent to open a new bank account instead. In the current situation this has become even more important.

The greatest challenge was to convince the first clients without the proof of reference customers. Once N26 transferred from our competitor WebID to IDnow and Commerzbank started to use our technology, it was obvious that both innovative fintechs as well as experienced banks trust us – and continue to do so until today.

For Armin and the other founders Felix, Sebastian and Dennis IDnow wasn’t the first experience of founding a startup. With Amiando (now named XING Events) they already discovered their passion for founding and learned incredibly much. Finding solutions for problems, putting them into practice and seeing that people actually start using their product is both fulfilling and motivating.

Welcome to our fabulous new colleagues! They started this month and joined their first All Hands Meeting yesterday, introduced themselves and absolutely earned their beer and pizza.
