FRENCH INVASION, der nächste DJ stellt sich vor: Eric Djiane aus Nizza: "I’ve been collecting original records since the early ’90s — mostly (Northern) Soul and R&B, but also Jamaican, French, and British 60s Beat. I’m particularly fond of playing eclectic sets that mix Soul, R&B, and Beat. I’ve played in Italy (Genova, Torino, Cattolica, Venice…), London, Belgium, Germany, and at many French events. Together with my friend Fred Adélic, I run a monthly event called SOUL INVICTUS in Nice, where we used to invite a Northern Soul DJ every month or so.
With the Green Hornet Association friends, we’ve organized an annual Mod weekend in Nice called THE RIVIERA AFFAIR – 60s Mod Weekend, running since 1998.
I’m also a dancer with a passion for Mod and Soul music — when I’m not at the turntables, you’ll probably find me on the dance floor!"

Fred Adélic aus Nizza in seinen eigenen Worten: "It was Jamaican music that brought the sunshine I was missing during my teenage years in northern France. Beyond that warmth, ska, rocksteady, and early reggae opened the door to an incredibly rich world: the universe of soul music. Today, my musical influences are diverse, though I have a strong preference for 1960s music, particularly its vocals and authentic instrumentation. For over 20 years, I have been collecting original records across genres such as rare soul, Northern soul, funk soul, jazz, R&B, popcorn oldies, ska, rocksteady, early reggae, garage, and more.
In 2014, my partner in crime Eric Djiane and I launched a monthly all-nighter event series called “Soul Invictus Nights.” The goal was to share our music and invite a different DJ each month from France and across Europe. It ran successfully for 11 years. While no longer a monthly event, it continues occasionally — for example, New Year’s Eve parties. Together with the Green Hornet Association, we also organized several memorable Mod Weekenders under the name “The Riviera Affair.”
