Leibniz Science Cube: In the Science Year 2023, everything revolves around the topic "Our Universe". In keeping with this theme, research projects from Leibniz Universität Hannover will be presented in the Leibniz Science Cube.
In addition to models of LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna), a system that will observe gravitational waves in space in the future, and a replica of MAIUS-1, a rocket for high-altitude research missions, the exhibition also houses a model of the Einstein-Elevator. The model was produced on a scale of 1:30 using additive manufacturing and looks confusingly similar to the original.
The Einstein-Elevator is a third-generation drop tower, unique in the world, which allows experiments to be conducted under adjustable gravity conditions and at a high repetition rate. Research areas include: Physics, Production Engineering, Bioengineering and Medicine.
