Ubomi

This week we had a great workshop focused on HIV awareness.

We were joined by visitors from Impact Drivers and Cure Crew Connectors, and together we explored how much our young people already know about HIV and the questions they may have.

As we discussed HIV, myths, stigma and common misconceptions, it became clear that everyone had a story to share. The room was full of conversation, questions and active participation. ✨

It was inspiring to see such openness and engagement, and everyone is already looking forward to the next session.

Diese Woche hatten wir einen spannenden Workshop zum Thema HIV.

Gemeinsam mit Gästen von Impact Drivers und Cure Crew Connectors ging es darum, herauszufinden, wie viel unsere Jugendlichen bereits über HIV wissen und welche Fragen sie beschäftigen.

Im Austausch über HIV, Mythen, Vorurteile und Missverständnisse wurde schnell klar: Jede*r hatte etwas zu erzählen. Der Raum war voller Gespräche, Fragen und neuer Perspektiven. ✨

Es war schön zu sehen, wie offen und interessiert alle dabei waren – und die Vorfreude auf die nächste Session ist bereits groß.

Parents meeting at Ubomi 💛

On Friday we had another lovely meeting with our parents, sharing ideas and talking about how we can support our children through the cold and rainy winter season together. 🌧️❄️

We also spoke about the upcoming Department of Health visit, which will provide important health support for the children, including deworming, Vitamin A supplementation and routine immunisations.

It was also very special to hand out some clothing donations to families. 💛

Elternmeeting bei Ubomi 💛

Am Freitag durften wir wieder gemeinsam mit unseren Eltern zusammenkommen, uns austauschen und überlegen, wie wir unsere Kinder gut durch die kalte und regnerische Winterzeit begleiten können. 🌧️❄️

Außerdem haben wir über den bevorstehenden Besuch des Gesundheitsamtes gesprochen, das die Kinder mit wichtigen Gesundheitsangeboten unterstützen wird.

Besonders schön war es auch, einige Kleiderspenden an Familien weitergeben zu können. 💛
