It literally all started 2014 with two creative minds in the basement of the enormous publishing building of Gruner + Jahr right in the centre of Hamburg. Jonas Thiemann and Carlo Szelinsky tinkered around, having something in mind that would eventually change the manner of mobile advertisement substantially forever.

They did not only create an app that recommends the perfect games or application regarding any user’s preferences – they also built a company that quickly conquered its place amongst Germany’s fastest growing start-ups from the get-go: AppLike!

And here we are today, memorizing five fantastic years of growth and setbacks, sweat and fun – and overall a huge success and a place where we love to show up every morning, greet fellow colleagues from all over the world with respect and work on our company’s and our personal goals with a smile on our faces:
