Who we are, part five...
Ramón Gardella (Argentina/Germany)
Ramón Gardella is an Argentinian percussionist based in Cologne, Germany. He studied classical and contemporary percussion at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires “Astor Piazzolla” and then at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln where he attends his Konzertexamen degree with Prof. Carlos Tarcha and Dirk Rothbrust.
He is formal member of Ensemble Kommas and DEHIO and performs regularly with Ensemble Musikfabrik, Ensemble Modern, WDR Sinfonieorchester, Beethoven Orchester Bonn, Gürzenich Orchester Köln, Neue Philharmonie Westfallen, Bochumer Symphoniker, Bergische Symphoniker and Jungen Philharmonie Köln.
He also participated in important contemporary music festivals like Klangspuren, Impuls, März Musik, Manifeste, Huddersfield Contemporary Music, among others.

Gonzalo Villalba (Argentina)
Gonzalo Villalba is an Argentine musician specializing in Tango and the folk music of his country, both on the bandoneon and the guitar. Born in Lincoln, province of Buenos Aires, he began his musical career at the Aldo A. Quadraccia Conservatory of Music in Lincoln, where he graduated as a Music teacher. Since then, Gonzalo has developed an outstanding career in music, both as a soloist and in various groups.
In 2016, he decided to continue his training in Bandoneon and moved to Paris, France, to study at the Edgar Varèse Conservatory in Gennevilliers with the renowned professor Juan José Mosalini. In addition to his studies in France, Gonzalo has also given master classes on Argentine music at the Hector Berlioz Conservatory in Paris (France), the Juan Sebastian Bach Music College in Valdivia (Chile), and the Academie voor Muziek en Woord in Noorderkempen (Belgium), demonstrating his dedication not only to performing but also to teaching music.
Currently, he is part of the Argentine music quartet Tengo Pal Truco, with whom he has made numerous international tours, bringing his music to stages around the world, including Latin American countries such as Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, and Peru, and in Europe, such as France, Holland, and Belgium. He has also participated in important festivals and events, demonstrating his skill and passion for music.
As part of different typical tango orchestras, he toured stages including England, Germany, Spain, Ireland, and Poland.

Juan Carlos Bonifaz Ordóñez (México/Belgium)
Multifaceted percussionist, composer, and pedagogue who works both in the world of academic and popular music, improvisation, theater, dance, and film (soundtracks) and with a commitment to education and training through sound creation.
Graduated from the Master in Percussions at the Koninklijk Hoogeschool Vlaams Conservatorium Antwerpen.
Winner of the National Marimba Competition in 2002 in the category of composition, adaptation, and/or arrangement.
In 2009, the UNICACH (University of Science and Arts of the State of Chiapas) published Sueños Sonoros, a book-anthology of his music written between 1998 and 2008.
As a soloist, he has given numerous concerts with his music at important international festivals and concert halls in Mexico, Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Spain, Argentina, and Denmark.
Teacher of chamber ensembles and coordinator of the percussion area at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Noorderkempen (Academie voor Muziek en Woord de Noorderkempen).
He completed two years of Doctorate in Arts at the IPEM (Institute for Psychoacoustics and Electronic Music) at the University of Ghent (Belgium) with whom he participates in the “International Summer School of Systematic Musicology” at the University of Jyvaskyla, (Finland).
He has also collaborated with the director Fabio Wuytack on the elaboration of the music for his documentary “Persona non grata” and with Pierre Bismuth (Oscar* winner) for his film “Where is Rocky II.”

Fernando Massino (Argentina/Denmark)
Fernando Massino is an Argentinian percussionist living in Denmark since 2007. His expertise areas are the sound and rhythm from Argentina and South America. Once in Europe, he started to mix his background with Nordic folk music. He holds a Bachelor's in World Music with a focus on the crossover between Argentinian and Nordic Folk Music from the Music Academy of Malmö, Sweden.
Fernando is a freelance musician in multiple bands and constellations, including Folkeando (Argentinian Folk Music), The Modern Latin Band (Latin), and Daniel Haselwanter (singer-songwriter). He also plays for and with kids in different groups and holds percussion workshops at schools in Sweden. He is also a cultural producer and organizer at the organization CkulturA in Copenhagen.

Carlos Passeggi (Argentina)
Carlos Passeggi is a musician, composer, and percussionist, based in Lincoln, Buenos Aires Argentina, graduated from Instituto Superior de Musica de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral and from the Manuel de Falla Conservatory in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Dutch editor label DMP published more than 40 of his compositions and the CDs "Different Paths" (2004), "Touched-Touched" (2011), with 28 of his works. The record label "Sonamos Latinoamerica" published its latest CD "El TocaRudios" (The NoisePlayer) (2022) with 15 original compositions for percussion soloist, voices, electronics, and visuals, which he presented live in a show in August 2022 in Lincoln, Argentina, his hometown, and in October on a European tour on stages in Denmark, Germany and Belgium.
In 2018 he composed "Urbanús" for solo percussion and chamber orchestra, for the audiovisual, urban symphony of Lanús. In 2021, with Mikhail Mnukhin, he composed the music for the audiovisual in full dome and immersive audio, FUTURE RUHR premiered in June 2022 at Bochum’s Planetarium, Germany. In 2019 he received a grant from FNA (the National Fund for the Arts of Argentina) for the creation of "El TocaRuidos". In 2021 he received, together with Christian Paladino, another creation grant for the composition and production of "Symphoacoustic", for "vitrophone" (a percussion instrument made with glasses, created by Carlos) real-time electronic processing and visuals, released in February 2022.
Many of his compositions have been made to order, premiered, and/or performed by musicians from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the United States, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, and by himself. He has made numerous international tours, clinics, and workshops, in Europe and Latin America, most of all.
