Andreas Gauger löst Rafael Laguna bei Open-Xchange ab Der langjährige 1&1-Chef und Profitbricks-Gründer Andreas Gauger wird CEO bei Open-Xchange. Sein Vorgänger Rafael Laguna, der den Software-Anbieter seit zwölf Jahren geführt hat, konzentriert sich ganz auf seine Rolle als Direktor der Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen.

Exciting times at Open-Xchange, as Andreas Gauger becomes our new CEO.

Formerly the CEO of 1&1, he brings a wealth of experience in the technology industry, where he has been involved in shaping the cloud and hosting market in Europe since the 1990s.

Andreas, who set up his first software company while he was still at school, was co-founder of the German hosting pioneer Schlund+Partner, moving to 1&1, and then internationally successful cloud provider ProfitBricks.

He replaces co-founder Rafael Laguna de la Vera, who is moving into a full-time role as Director of the German Agency for Disruptive Innovation, SprinD (sprind.org), where he’s been working alongside his role at Open-Xchange since last year.
