Chasing Reverbs
Maybe our world has always been in a complex state, but these days we really feel how volatile and complicated it is. We look for simplicity. We need to calm our weary heads. We are searching for the relief in between the notes. We are finding a bit of peace in every tail of reverberance. There is enough buzz, gossip and fake news out there. We need no words. Letâs be quiet for a second a take a little rest. This is the sound before the silence. This is Chasing Reverbs.
Some mornings, you feel it before you've even had coffee. âïž
The phone goes on. And within seconds, it's there: wars, climate disasters, political noise. The kind of weight that makes you want to put it back down before the day has even started.
"The Weight of It All" is my attempt to offer something different â just for the three minutes it lasts. Not an escape from the world, but a brief pause inside it. đ
đ§ Out now on all platforms.
Many thanks to Sky Valley Records for the continued support.
My memory isnât the best.
The other day my daughter asked me what I had for lunch in the office cafeteria just two days earlier â and I honestly couldnât remember.
What I do remember very clearly, though, is the first time I heard Ed Sheeranâs song for âThe Hobbit.â It was during a train ride home. There was time to spare, and a friend had sent me the link. I pressed play without expecting much and then just sat there for five minutes, completely stunned. I must have listened to it at least three times in a row. That moment has stayed with me ever since.
Today, my instrumental guitar reinterpretation of that song has crossed one million streams on Spotify â something I still find hard to fully grasp. Artists like Ed Sheeran probably reach that number within a day of releasing new music. For me, it represents years of quiet work, small steps, and steady growth. This isnât just a statistic. It means that someone, somewhere, decided to press play and that still feels significant to me.
Thank you to everyone who has listened, shared, or added the song to a playlist. And a heartfelt thank you to Sky Valley Records! đđŒ This milestone simply would not have been possible without you.

When I was younger, discovering new music usually meant buying an album. Youâd read in magazines when your favorite band was about to release something new â the internet wasnât really a thing yet. Youâd wait for the day, go into town, search the shelves, and if you were lucky enough to find it, youâd already start flipping through the booklet on the way home. Then youâd put the disc into the player, sit down, and listen to the album from start to finish. There was time. And attention.
I know this may sound like an old manâs story â but you need this context to understand the sparkle in my eyes when the postman delivered the very first vinyl copy of Lost in Low Light. Itâs a strange mix of memory, nostalgia, and appreciation for physical formats.I genuinely love streaming â but constant availability and endless choice often come with a certain kind of emptiness. When everything is always there, it also becomes more interchangeable.
Holding this record reminded me why some things still deserve to be held, not just played. If youâd like to have a copy yourself, itâs available via the store on my website:

A little seasonal surprise for you today! đ
Chris Reaâs 'Driving Home for Christmas' has always been one of my favourite holiday songs â one I can listen to again and again (unlike 'Last Christmas' đ).
So I thought a calm, guitar-based interpretation might be a nice way to bring a bit of quiet into the pre-Christmas rush.
Hope you enjoy it â and may your December stay as stress-free as possible. đ
Thanks to Sky Valley Records for the support!
