Fracto

What an encounter these past few days at Fracto.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped shape this edition through their presence, attention, and exchange.
From the conversations with our guests, to the curiosity and engagement of the workshop participants, to Jan Kulka's unforgettable performance, each moment contributed to the unique atmosphere of the festival.
Most of all, thank you to the audience for showing up with openness and commitment. The atmosphere of the festival was created as much in the room as on the stage.
We're grateful to everyone who shared their time, work, and trust with us.
Until next time!

FRACTO 2026 celebrates his last day today.
Over the past days, we have shared screenings, discussions, workshops, performances, and encounters with filmmakers and audiences from around the world. Thank you to everyone who has joined us so far.
If you haven't made it to the festival yet, today is your last chance.
The final day includes:
— Selection #5: Grayscale (17:00 / ACUD KINO), a program dedicated to the material and perceptual possibilities of black and white, grain, flicker, and light.
— Focus: Cécile Fontaine — Part II (19:00 / ACUD KINO), concluding our focus on one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary experimental cinema. Cécile Fontaine will be present for a Q&A following the screening.
— Expanded Cinema: Jan Kulka (21:30 / ACUD CLUB), featuring three live projection works presented through custom-built apparatuses and handmade film formats, including the World Premiere of Fringe Shades.
Join us for one final day of experimental cinema, analog film, and expanded projection.

Peter Todd - Part 2 • A Room with a View
The section A Room with a View maps the prolongation of places into consciousness. External topographies confound with fragile interiorities. The outside folds into the self. The psyche recesses into the hallways of the house. The house is a nest for imagining, a refuge for dreaming, a shelter for becoming. There is a house that contains us and a house that is contained in us.
The celluloid endures the continuum and ruptures between geometrical spaces and inhabited spaces - one space spills, is swallowed, is deformed and reformed by the other. With these five films of Peter Todd, one ought to accept solitude, to embrace, even if only momentarily, a wandering around enchanted rooms. Todd’s films demonstrate so tenderly that the space can be poetry.
